My current draw is too high
If your ECU is drawing more than the expected current please check the following:
Disconnect all wires to the ECU except Vpwr, ground, and ignition. Refer to the technical specification of your ECU for these pins.
- If you are still measuring too much current, then check your loom for a short between these pins and wires.
- If your current measurement is now as expected, then:
- Re-connect each wire one at a time to determine which circuit is causing the high current draw.
- Investigate your loom for short circuits.
- Investigate your inputs and actuators for short circuits.
